Endicia DaZzle Integration
Help Table of Contents | Label Server
Account
The least expensive account type for printing USPS labels with postage is the Endicia
premium account which currently costs $15.95 per month. The Endicia premium
account will print labels with postage but requires Endicia's Free DaZzle software
to be running as well as the Silverthorne Shipping Saver. The DaZzle software
can be minimized it just must be running to print labels with postage from the shipping
saver.
The first thing to do is go to www.endicia.com
and open a premium service account. From the Endicia home page, you can also download
the free DaZzle software needed when using the premium service account in conjunction
with the Silverthorne Shipping Saver. Download and install the DaZzle
software first, before selecting DaZzle in the Shipping Saver shown in the screen
shot below. Next go to the User Accounts Tab of the Shipping Saver. Click
the USPS tab. Click the DaZzle radio button as shown in the screen shot
below. The Monitor Dir field should get automatically filled in. The Monitor Directory
that you will see on the Shipping Saver User Accounts Tab (see screen shot below)
must be entered in the
DaZzle Premium Service Options Tab shown below in the fourth screen
shot. The Monitor Directory path
entered in both the Shipping Saver application and the DaZzle application must match.

Now start DaZzle. Then click Postage Options.

The postage options dialog will be displayed as shown in the screen shot below.
Click the Premium Service Options Tab.

Check the Monitor this directory for XML files: checkbox as shown
in the screen shot below. Fill in the directory to monitor so that it is the
same directory as was filled in on the User Accounts Tab (Monitor Dir) of the Shipping
Saver shown in the screen shot above. Also change every 30 seconds
to every 5 seconds. Click the OK button.

Personalize DaZzle Layout Files
1) Next you need to open a DaZzle layout file named Silverthorne_Label_4X6.lyt.
The DaZzle layout files are located in the directory C:\Program Files\Silverthorne
Software\Silverthorne Shipping Saver\Files. This particular layout helps DaZzle print 4x6
thermal labels.

2) Now change the return address to your Company address.

3) Now change the selected printer for this layout to be your thermal
printer name.

Click the OK button to save your printer selection.
Now repeat steps 1 thru 3 for the layout file named Silverthorne Priority
Mail Shipping Label.lyt. For this layout you will not select a thermal
label printer, but a printer that prints 8.5x11 inch sheets of paper.
Now repeat steps 1 thru 3 for the layout file named Silverthorne Express Mail
Shipping Label.lyt. For this layout you will not select a thermal label
printer, but a printer that prints 8.5x11 inch sheets of paper.
Now repeat steps 1 thru 3 for the layout file named Silverthorne Small First
Class Mail International Shipping Label.lyt. For this layout you will
not select a thermal label printer, but a printer that prints 8.5x11 inch sheets
